What is the Green Bean Battery warranty?
Green Bean Battery backs its hybrid battery replacements with an unlimited-mileage warranty: if a covered battery failure occurs, we will replace the battery free of charge (provided you meet our diagnostic and installation conditions). This warranty is valid for the battery we install into your vehicle and becomes void if the failure is caused by misuse, improper installation, accident, or other excluded circumstances. For more information – please visit our warranty section.
What is covered under the warranty?
- Battery pack failure
- Defective modules
- Internal electronics related to the battery pack
- Installation workmanship
External vehicle issues (inverter, wiring, ECU, HV system damage) are not covered.
For more information – please visit our warranty section.
What types of hybrid batteries do you offer?
We provide:
- Reconditioned hybrid batteries
- Upgraded module packs
- Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) replacements
- Select lithium-based options (vehicle dependent)
- Sodium module hybrid batteries (newer category)
Are Green Bean batteries new or reconditioned?
The company offers multiple options: Remanufactured hybrid batteries with new modules and professionally reconditioned hybrid batteries using a multi-stage process:
- Capacity testing
- Module balancing
- Load testing
- Rebuilding
- Final quality control
This creates a battery that performs as close to new as possible at a fraction of the cost.
Do you use new modules?
For select models, yes — we offer new module and sodium module options.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept:
- Major credit/debit cards
- PayPal
- Cashier’s check (varies by location)
- Affirm Financing
Do you provide financing options?
Your old battery is considered a “core” when being replaced. The price you pay for our product is based on Green Bean recovering the core – a valuable raw material. On a mobile installation we recover the core immediately, so no core deposit is required. Sales to customers who do not (or cannot) take advantage of mobile installation will usually require a refundable deposit on the core. My car is showing a hybrid-battery error — what does it mean?
A hybrid battery error means the vehicle has detected a fault within the hybrid system. This doesn’t always mean the battery has failed, but it does indicate something isn’t working correctly. Because hybrid systems are complex, it’s important to have the vehicle properly diagnosed to identify the exact cause and prevent further issues.

Can a failing hybrid battery damage my car?
A failing hybrid battery usually forces the vehicle into a reduced-power or “limp” mode but generally does not cause direct engine damage. However, continuing to drive with a deteriorating battery can place added strain on other hybrid components — such as the inverter or cooling systems — so it’s best to have the issue checked as soon as possible.
