
By installing our product, you agree to our limited warranty, the limitations of our liability, core return requirements (when applicable), and the waiver of claims outlined in this agreement.

Some of the information required:
- Full name of the vehicle owner and primary contact.
- Primary location of the vehicle address and the vehicle owner’s primary address
- Phone number
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and more…
All suspected warranty claims must be verified through diagnosis. You may obtain diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from a repair shop, dealership, or parts store, or use a personal OBD II scanner. Please provide images of the scanner showing the codes and include them in the claim through the website portal. If you need help with claim process, send an email to: Greenbeanwarranty@lkqcorp.com
If diagnosed by a shop or dealership, submit all DTCs from the vehicle’s modules, including but not limited to: Powertrain Control Module, Battery Energy Control Module, Engine Control Module, Transmission Control Module, Body Control Module, and ABS Control Module.
Upon verification of battery failure within the warranty period, Green Bean Battery will replace the failed battery at no cost. However, diagnostic and towing expenses are not reimbursed.

Green Bean Battery guarantees our battery for the entirety of the warranty period, regardless of age or mileage. Our Unlimited Mileage Warranty covers battery replacement for failures as per our stated warranty.
The warranty will be null and void under the following conditions:
- Misuse, abuse, or accident
- Installation of unauthorized accessories
- Alterations to the product
- Improper installation
- Exposure to harsh weather or chemicals
- Lack of proper maintenance
- Opening or tampering with the product, including removing stickers
- Any condition beyond the control of Green Bean Battery
- Disclaimer of Incidental, Consequential, and Special Damages
- Green Bean Battery is not liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages. All other warranties, including implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability, are excluded.
Core Return
The warranty will be voided if the core battery, shipping materials, and case are not returned within 30 days of the installation appointment or receipt date (for non-Green Bean installed batteries). Failure to return these items will result in a charge of up to $1,000.
Waiver of Claims
By accepting and using this product, you waive and release Green Bean Battery, its employees, officers, directors, agents, and customers from any claims, demands, suits, or legal proceedings arising from injury, death, property damage, or loss of property related to the product’s possession, use, or operation.
Additional Terms
- This warranty is non-transferable, except as required by law.
- The warranty becomes null and void if the vehicle is totaled or written off.
- In cases where a battery is found defective due to material, workmanship, or installation during the warranty period, the battery will be replaced following confirmation of battery failure.
- If the hybrid battery is under warranty, a refund is never available.
- If the hybrid battery is replaced under warranty and the original warranty has expired, the new battery will be covered by a 90-day warranty starting from the date of the replacement.
- Excluded Vehicles for Mobile Installation: The following vehicles are ineligible for mobile installation: Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2015), Ford Escape (2005-2013), Mercury Mariner (2004-2013), Mazda Tribute (2004-2013), Nissan Leaf (2011-2015), Chevrolet Volt (2011-2018), Ford Fusion (2010-2012). For these models, installation must occur at an authorized repair shop.
- Direct Sales (Non-Procurement of Green Bean Battery Installation Services)
- Direct sales pertain to sales that are sent directly to the customer without utilizing our installer option and will determine their own installation method.
- Customer agrees to have battery installed by an authorized repair facility and will return the original battery (core) within 30 days of receipt to avoid the $500 core charge and the voiding of any warranty originally offered on the unit.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover failures caused by:
- Improper installations by non-Green Bean installers
- Vehicles stored for over 30 days
- Vehicles driven less than 2,500 miles per year
- Physical damage after battery delivery
- Removal or tampering with warranty labels
- Modifications not compliant with manufacturer specifications
- Reinstallation of the battery in another vehicle
- Hybrid battery damage due to engine issues or improper engine operation (e.g., DTCs: P0A0F, P0AB9, P3190, P3191, P3193, P1196, P0101, P0102, P0505)
- Flood, fire, or environmental damage beyond Green Bean Battery’s control
Dispute Resolution and Warranty Fee
In the event of a dispute regarding battery failure:
- Damage Due to Engine Issues or Inactivity: If the damage is due to engine issues or prolonged inactivity, a service fee of $630 plus tax will be charged.
- Uncertain Fault Determination: If the fault is unclear, an upfront fee of $375 will be charged. If the battery is determined to be faulty, the fee will be refunded. If the battery is not at fault, the fee will not be refunded.
- Continued Uncertainty: If the fault remains uncertain after initial assessment, the battery will be replaced. If the replacement battery is also deemed not at fault, the customer can either pay an additional $255 plus tax to keep the new battery or have the original battery reinstalled.
By installing our product, you agree to these terms and conditions. The Seller will sell, transfer, and deliver to the Buyer the following goods, and perform the below services at the confirmed time and date of the installation (the “Goods and Service”):

Core Return
- The Seller reserves the right to refuse service at its sole discretion.
- Diagnostic Work: The Seller does not perform diagnostic work, and the Buyer agrees that any diagnosis of the vehicle prior to the Service is the Buyer’s sole responsibility.
Cancellations
A deposit of $375 (USD) is non-refundable and forfeitable if the vehicle is not available for service at the scheduled time, if access is not granted, or if the Buyer provides incorrect vehicle details.
- For cancellations requests regarding installation appointments that are made at least 12 hours in advance, a full refund will be granted. For cancellations made less than 12 hours prior to the appointment, the $375 deposit may be withheld at the Seller’s discretion.
- Rescheduling requests for installation appointments that are made 12 hours or more in advance will allow the deposit or prepayment to be applied to the rescheduled service.
- For cancellation requests submitted prior to the shipment of a product, the Buyer will receive a full refund. However, for cancellation requests submitted after the product has been shipped, the refund will be subject to the following deductions: (i) a 20% restocking fee, and (ii) all shipping charges incurred by the Seller. These amounts will be deducted from the total refund issued to the Buyer.
Warranties
- The Seller warrants that:
- The Seller is the legal owner of the Goods.
- The Seller has the right to sell the Goods and perform the Service.
- Fit for Purpose: The Seller warrants that the Goods will be fit for their intended purpose.
- Warranty Terms: The Buyer agrees to the Seller’s limited warranty terms, liability limitations, and waivers of claims.
Core Return Instructions
If your battery is delivered via FedEx, UPS, or LTL carriers (SAIA, T-FORCE, or R&L), please review the core return instructions below. If your battery is delivered directly by a mobile installer, this letter does not apply to you.
For UPS Shipments:
- Secure the core battery: Place your old hybrid battery securely back into the case in the same manner it was shipped to you. Your installer can assist with this after completing the installation.
- Attach the return label: Take the prepackaged return label located behind the shipping label and attach it to the top of the crate / case. Please remove the original shipping label.
- Schedule UPS pick-up: Call UPS at 1-800-225-5877 to arrange a pick-up time and date at your location. (The return label is prepaid, if UPS requests payment: email, Greenbeanlogistics@lkqcorp.com)
- Be present for pick-up: Ensure you are available at the scheduled time, as the driver will not be able to accept the shipment without your presence.
For Freight Carrier / LTL (T-Force, SAIA, R&L) Shipments:
- Contact us to arrange pickup and to provide shipping document
- Email GreenBeanLogistics@LKQCorp.com to arrange the pick-up of your hybrid battery core.
- Follow the instructions provided: Once you contact us, we will provide you with further details and the necessary documents, including the Bill of Lading (BOL).
- Be present during the scheduled pick-up time: Ensure someone is available, pickup will not be completed otherwise.
