Green Bean Battery Warranty Claim Guide
At Green Bean Battery, we stand behind our products — and we’re here to help if something goes wrong. Before submitting a warranty claim, please read the information below carefully to ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible.
Who Can Submit a Claim?
Warranty claims are only accepted from current Green Bean Battery customers. Claims cannot be processed until all required documentation is provided.
What You’ll Need to Submit a Claim
To begin your claim, you must include the following:
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Report:
- List or attach a full diagnostic report or screenshots of all trouble codes.
- Photos of the dashboard alone are not sufficient.
- Make sure all parts of the scan are included (e.g., 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 if applicable).
Where to Get a Diagnostic Scan
You can get a free diagnostic scan at many auto parts stores and repair shops:
- Advance Auto Parts
- AutoZone
- O’Reilly Auto Parts
- NAPA
- Carquest
- Dealerships
- Independent repair shops
Or use your own scan tool — we recommend the Autel OBD2 Scanner for its reliability and affordability.
Special Note for 2004–2009 Toyota Prius Owners: Scanners like Innova, often used at AutoZone and O’Reilly, do not detect hybrid battery codes for these models. Please use a compatible scanner to ensure proper diagnosis.
Important Notes
- You are not required to pay for a diagnostic scan to start your warranty claim.
- If further diagnostics are needed later in the process, those costs will be your responsibility.
- Towing and mechanic fees are not reimbursed under the warranty policy.
