WARRANTY TRANSFER PROGRAM
Requirements to Transfer Warranty
The warranty of the hybrid battery may be transferred away from the original owner of the vehicle to the new vehicle owner only once for the duration of the warranty’s specified period. Provisions apply. By signing this Agreement, the New Owner agrees to the terms and conditions of the hybrid battery’s warranty. The warranty transfer request will be approved at the discretion of the Seller if all of the requirements and documents are met. The warranty transfer request must be initiated within seven(7) days of the vehicle sale.
To initiate the transfer request, the New Owner must electronically sign this agreement within the aforementioned time frame of the vehicle sale. The following documents are required. Please submit them to Warranty@GreenBeanBattery.com. These documents can be submitted at any point past the aforementioned time frame. However, a transfer request can not be processed until all required documents are received.
- Proof of Sale: The New Owner must submit a copy of a dated Bill of Sale.
- If the vehicle transaction is a gift, enter zero for the sale amount.
- Proof of Battery Purchase: The New Owner must submit a copy of the original hybrid battery invoice.
- Submitting the invoice number of the original hybrid battery purchase will suffice.
- New Owners can get a copy of the hybrid battery invoice from the original purchaser of the hybrid battery.
- Green Bean Battery emails a copy of the paid invoice to all original purchasers of the hybrid battery.
- Proof of Ownership: The New Owner must submit a copy of their new vehicle registration or temporary registration, AND provide a copy of the original owner’s vehicle registration.
- Green Bean Battery needs to confirm the VIN matches the original purchase order and proof on hand of the owner’s name on the vehicle’s registration.
- Green Bean Battery understands the turnaround time for the DMV to provide registration can vary by state. This document can be submitted at any point past the aforementioned time frame.
Once all required documents have been provided, all parameters have been met, and the Warranty Transfer Agreement has been signed, Green Bean Battery will process the request. If approved, Green Bean Battery will provide the New Owner with a Warranty Transfer Confirmation certificate. Should the New Owner need to file a warranty claim on the hybrid battery, the New Owner may need to provide a copy of this certificate.
The warranty becomes valid and active once a certificate is obtained by the New Owner. There are zero fees to transfer the warranty.
